Terms and Conditions

Effective from March 24, 2026

1. Course Booking and Enrollment

By booking a place on any The Chopping Block Film School module, you agree to these terms and conditions. All bookings are confirmed once payment has been received in full. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at booking.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrollment.

2. Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Invoices and receipts will be provided via email upon successful payment. Payment must be made in the name of the person attending the course.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the course start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the course start date incur a 50% cancellation fee, with the remaining 50% refunded to the original payment method.

To cancel your booking, you must contact The Chopping Block Film School in writing with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Your booking confirmation number
  • The course date you are booked for

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation request and returned to the original payment method.

4. Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your course to a different date, please contact us at least 7 days before your booked course date. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability. A single rescheduling is permitted at no additional cost if requested 7 or more days in advance.

If you reschedule within 7 days of your original course date, a £50 rescheduling fee will apply.

5. Course Content and Duration

Each module is designed to run for the stated duration as shown on our website. Course content may be subject to minor modifications at the discretion of The Chopping Block Film School to ensure quality and relevance.

All participants will receive course materials as described in their module information, including PDF booklets and access to any online resources provided.

6. Group Size and Class Composition

All courses are limited to a maximum of 4 students per session to ensure personalized instruction and attention. If a course does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, The Chopping Block Film School reserves the right to cancel the course and offer a full refund or reschedule to an alternative date.

7. Student Conduct and Behavior

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. The Chopping Block Film School reserves the right to remove any participant who:

  • Behaves disruptively or abusively toward instructors or other students
  • Violates the intellectual property rights of The Chopping Block or other participants
  • Violates applicable laws or policies

Removal from a course will result in forfeiture of all fees with no refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including instructional content, videos, PDFs, and other resources, are the exclusive property of The Chopping Block Film School. Participants may use these materials for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of course materials is strictly prohibited without written permission.

Student work created during the course belongs to the student. However, The Chopping Block Film School may request permission to use student work for promotional or educational purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Chopping Block Film School is not responsible for:

  • Loss or damage to personal equipment or belongings
  • Technical issues or internet connectivity problems during online courses
  • Failure to achieve specific career or professional outcomes following course completion
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from course participation

10. Data Privacy and Personal Information

The Chopping Block Film School collects personal information only for course administration, communication, and improvement of our services. We comply with all applicable data protection laws. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

11. Health and Safety

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in a safe and appropriate environment for online courses. This includes having a stable internet connection, appropriate seating, and freedom from distraction. The Chopping Block Film School is not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from participant negligence.

12. Modifications to Terms

The Chopping Block Film School reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued participation in courses implies acceptance of any updated terms.
